Wintergreen was recognized by Magnet Schools of America and is committed to providing students with an engaging educational experience rooted in arts integration, restorative practices, and academic excellence. At Wintergreen, our vision is to provide all students with a safe and nurturing environment that immerses each student in the arts, grounds them in restorative practices, and engages their minds to ensure academic and personal success. Our Fourth Grade teachers foster academic growth, independence, critical thinking, and creativity while supporting students as they continue to develop socially and emotionally. Grade-level teams collaborate closely to design engaging learning experiences that integrate literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts while helping students make meaningful connections across content areas. Endorsement, Education, and Experience Requirements Successful candidates must possess strong instructional practices, excellent classroom management skills, and a deep commitment to student learning and development. Experience teaching upper elementary students and a demonstrated ability to support diverse learners is preferred. Connecticut State Certification 305 (Elementary Education) or other appropriate Connecticut certification required.
