Montessori Elementary Teacher Montessori Discovery School is seeking a 6-12 (or 9-12 upper elementary) Montessori credentialed teacher to join our 6-12 Elementary classroom. Montessori experience is a must! Only Montessori (AMI/AMS) trained educators will be considered.
Description:
Montessori Discovery School is looking for a Montessori-trained 9-12 teacher to join our 6-12 elementary class. We are looking for a person who enjoys working in a small school with a welcoming staff and engaged parents and students. Located in beautiful southeastern Connecticut, MDS is a breath of fresh air from the busy city life. Our wetlands and fields provide outdoor explorations for our students as well as a home for our llamas and chickens. Children and staff learn to care for our environment and our animals while gaining independence through our Montessori curriculum. MDS is accredited by the Connecticut Association of Independent Schools, is a member of AMS, and Montessori Schools of Connecticut, and has

credentialed head teachers in each program.

Qualifications:
Experience working with children Montessori credential in Elementary (II or I/II) Bachelors degree required Interest in learning animal care Passion for working with children and families Ability to communicate and collaborate with a team, staff, and administration Strong classroom management Proficient in the use of technology Strong writing and grammar skills
