Responsibilities would include creating an engaging learning environment that fosters academic growth and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of Holy Trinity School. Position Summary The teacher is responsible for the care and education of Grade 5 students. The teacher will plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate lessons in core content areas, including Religion. The teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of Holy Trinity School and the Archdiocese of Hartford. Primary Responsibilities, including but not limited to: Plan for and implement instructional methods which motivate and enable each child to achieve learning objectives. Establishing and maintaining the environment required to motivate and to enable each child to achieve learning objectives. Maintain weekly lesson plans and progress notes that monitor student learning. Be diligent about documenting all incidents and noteworthy behaviors. Actively participate in all meetings and in-service trainings. Strong time management skills. Complete and respond to request made by the Principal within 48 hours of a written request. Experience Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus. Be able to participate in all monthly staff training, staff meetings and recommended educational training courses. Be willing to take directions, instruction and be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.

Be willing to perform other duties as required by the Principal and Archdiocese of Hartford. Bachelors from an accredited college or university in related discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Minimum successful teaching experience of 2 years. Hold Teaching Certification. Be a practicing Catholic in good standing. Use a wide range of teaching methods to enhance each student's learning abilities. Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children/have excellent communication skills. Work cooperatively/collaborate with all other teachers and the principal. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiates instruction based upon student learning styles. Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts. Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans. Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents. Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
