Montessori of Florida LLC has one opening for the position of Head Montessori Teacher in Davie, Florida with the following qualifications: Requires Montessori diploma issued by an AMI-accredited institution showing completion of AMI Montessori Training Course. Also requires two years of experience working as a head teacher in a Montessori preschool setting. Must pass Background check. Job duties for the position include: Instruct preschool-aged students, following the Montessori method and lesson plans, in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Establish, implement, and create a prepared environment that encourages independence, self-discovery, and critical thinking. Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities in alignment with Montessori principles and the school's curriculum. Observe and assess each child's progress and development and maintain accurate records of their growth and achievements. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all children feel valued, respected, and supported. Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support each child's individual needs and ensure continuity between home and school. Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including arranging materials and resources to support learning. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in Montessori education and early childhood development. Adhere to the Association Montessori International (AMI) guidelines and the schools guidelines and professional standards for the purpose of maintaining excellence. Carry out parent conferences, meetings, and communications throughout the school year and in accordance with school policy.
