Position Description Elementary Teacher (K5-5th) Position Overview Colonial Christian School, a FACCS fully accredited school, is seeking to hire an enthusiastic Elementary teacher to join our dedicated team Responsibilities Effectively deliver curriculum to meet developmental goals Prepare lesson plans, grade papers, manage the classroom, & evaluate & give feedback to students Exercise open, respectful, & clear communication with students, families, co-workers, administrators, & other school staff Set measurable goals for students & gauge their progress Maintain current student records including grades & attendance Use technology effectively to communicate with parents & students Provide a safe, respectful learning environment where students can thrive Establish and implement classroom rules Adapt teaching methods & activities to meet the learning styles of students Prepare students for academic promotions Qualifications A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university Highly developed oral & written communication skills Ability to build relationships effectively & professionally with families & students Physical ability to handle frequent sitting, standing, & moving throughout the classroom Active member of their church Compensation & Benefits Salary based on level of education & experience Tuition discount Retirement plan with employer contribution Employer paid Life & Disability insurance
