Qualifications Proven experience working with children or students with disabilities in classroom or educational settings. Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, instructional modifications, and educational compliance standards. Expertise in teaching core subjects such as literacy education, math, early childhood education, physical education, music therapy or recreational therapy is highly desirable. Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques like applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies for students with special needs. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to develop creative lesson plans that incorporate learning technology and accommodate diverse learning styles. Experience working in private schools or early intervention programs is a plus; certification in speech therapy or related fields is advantageous.
