  • Full-time Kiddie Academy of Lutz is seeking a passionate and experienced VPK Lead Teacher to join our growing early childhood education team.
This role is ideal for an educator who is dedicated to preparing 4-5-year-old children for kindergarten success through engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with Florida VPK standards and early learning best practices. You will play a key role in building strong foundations in literacy, math readiness, social-emotional development, and classroom independence while fostering a nurturing and structured learning environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement Florida VPK-aligned lesson plansusing developmentally appropriate practices Deliver engaging whole-group, small-group, and individualized instruction Assess and document student progress in accordance with VPK reporting requirements Maintain a safe, positive, and well-managed classroom environment Support school readiness skills including early literacy, phonics, counting, and social development Communicate effectively with families regarding student growth and development Ensure full compliance with Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) childcare licensing standards Participate in curriculum planning, training, and professional development Florida VPK Compliance Requirements Applicants must meet at least one of the following Florida VPK qualification pathways: Florida Staff Credential AND completion of DCF 45-Hour Introductory Child Care Training CDA (Child Development Associate), FCCPC, or higher in Early Childhood Education Completion of required emergent literacy courses (as outlined by Florida Division of Early Learning) Background screening and First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Preferred Qualifications Minimum 1 year of preschool or VPK classroom experience Strong understanding of Florida Early Learning Standards (ages 3-5) Excellent classroom management and communication skills Passion for early childhood education and school readiness Ability to create a warm, structured, and engaging learning environment Team-oriented and dependable professional Benefits Competitive hourly pay Paid time off (PTO) 401(k) retirement plan Employee childcare discount Professional development and training opportunities Career advancement within Kiddie Academy network Supportive leadership team and collaborative environment Why Join Us At Kiddie Academy of Lutz, we believe early childhood education shapes lifelong success.
