Full-Time Position | Strong Opportunity for Growth Our International Academy and Bright Bridge Preparatory are seeking a passionate, engaging, and student-centered Science & Social Studies Teacher to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning among Elementary and Middle School students. We are looking for an educator who genuinely enjoys working with children, creates meaningful and interactive learning experiences, and understands the importance of nurturing the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, collaborative, and passionate about helping students succeed through hands-on and innovative teaching approaches. As part of our educational team, you will help create a positive and inspiring classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, think critically, and grow confidently. Responsibilities Design and teach engaging, age-appropriate Science and Social Studies lessons for Elementary and Middle School students Teach foundational science concepts, scientific exploration, geography, history, cultures, government, and social studies concepts through interactive and hands-on learning experiences Incorporate projects, discussions, experiments, visual learning strategies, and real-world connections into lessons Foster curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence in the classroom Adapt lessons to support students with different learning styles and educational needs Maintain a positive, organized, and safe classroom environment Encourage participation, confidence, and positive classroom behavior Collaborate with fellow teachers, therapists, and staff to support student growth and success Prepare classroom projects, presentations, and student showcases Qualifications Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Science and/or Social Studies (Elementary or Middle School level preferred) Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree is a plus) Valid teaching certification Experience working with students with special needs Bilingual required (English and Spanish) Familiarity with mental mapping or visual learning techniques is a plus Passionate about innovative, student-centered teaching Strong classroom management and communication skills Must be willing to complete fingerprinting/background screening process Benefits Full-time position Paid vacations: Summer, Winter, and Spring Paid holidays and 40 hours of personal time off per school year Dental insurance and employee discounts Professional development and career growth opportunities Supportive, collaborative, and family-oriented school culture Additional Information OIA and BBP are equal opportunity employers and do not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, sex, national and ethnic origin, or any other basis prohibited by law when hiring, promoting, establishing wages, or providing benefits.
