Early Elementary Teacher for 2026-2027 school year

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 1st Grade Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for education. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and growth. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help develop foundational skills in Bible, literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and physical development. As a 1st Grade Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of your students while promoting inclusive and engaging learning experiences. Duties Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that promote Christian values/world view, literacy, math skills, and early childhood development. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations. Provide individualized tutoring and support for students with special needs or those requiring early intervention services. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning and school-wide initiatives. Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants to promote professional growth within the school community. Engage with parents through clear communication skills to discuss student progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones. Support children with IEP's or 504's needs by adapting classroom strategies to ensure inclusive participation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred. Proven classroom experience working with young children in an educational setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques. Experience with lesson planning and literacy education methodologies. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment for all learners. Experience working with children with special needs is advantageous.
