An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Key Responsibilities• Teaching & Lesson Planning Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with state standards and school goals. Adapt teaching strategies and materials to support diverse learning needs. Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning. Classroom Management & Student Support Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment. Use effective behavior management techniques to support student success. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to guide learning. Participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 Plans, and other student support programs. Assessment & Data-Driven Instruction Use various assessment tools to measure student growth and adjust instruction accordingly. Maintain accurate records of student progress. Ensure a secure and supportive testing environment. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff to foster student success. Communicate regularly with families about student progress. Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development opportunities. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the school's approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the School.
