An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Ignite Academy is a growing Christian private school where classes average about 15 learners per class. Our focus as a school is on the nourishment of not only the mind, but also the body and heart as well. Ignite Academy functions as a community in which our educators, families, and parents come alongside the child to instill healthy habits that prepare a child for a fruitful life. Ignite Academy is seeking a deeply passionate and skilled leader for the 3rd grade teaching position. Additional Selection Criteria for Prospective Teachers Teaches from a Biblical worldview with a passion to disciple young children into a growing relationship with Christ Superior classroom management skills Strong team player who seeks to collaborate with other teachers Strong communication skills, especially with parents
