Job Description

About the Role We are looking for a licensed, passionate, and faith-driven Lead Elementary School Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a educational leader within our Islamic school community, guiding students while embedding Islamic values into every aspect of the learning experience. You will help shape young learners by creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom where every student can grow academically, morally, and spiritually. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons across subjects including literacy, numeracy, and social studies, integrating Islamic values and perspectives throughout the curriculum. Serve as a lead educator by mentoring and supporting fellow teachers, contributing to curriculum development, and modeling best practices in the classroom. Build and maintain an organized classroom environment that reflects Islamic principles and encourages active participation and student ownership of learning. Assess student progress through standardized testing and other tools, using results to provide targeted academic support. Provide individualized instruction and accommodations for students with autism or other special needs. Apply consistent, proactive behavior management strategies rooted in Islamic ethical guidelines to foster a positive and respectful learning environment. Leverage library resources to enrich lessons and cultivate a love of reading, including Islamic literature and resources. Collaborate with fellow educators and school leadership to build a cohesive, faith-centered school community. Communicate consistently with parents and guardians regarding student progress, goals, and involvement opportunities, in alignment with the school's Islamic values.
Qualifications Required:
Valid state teaching license or certification in Elementary Education (candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure prior to start date) Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field Strong understanding of Islamic values, principles, and culture, with the ability to meaningfully incorporate them into teaching and school life Demonstrated experience teaching elementary-age students in inclusive or diverse settings Prior leadership experience in an educational setting (e.g., lead teacher, department head, mentor teacher) Strong classroom and behavior management skills Excellent communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
Preferred:
