An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a full-time 2nd grade teacher on a contract basis. In this engaging role, you'll inspire students while bringing your expertise to elementary education. You'll work with an enthusiastic caseload of 2nd graders, helping them develop foundational skills and a lifelong love for learning. Candidates must hold a valid IL PEL License with an elementary education endorsement. Your background in creating dynamic lesson plans, promoting positive classroom management, and differentiating instruction to meet individual student needs sets you up for success in this role.
Qualifications:
Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with elementary education endorsement Classroom experience teaching elementary grade levels, especially 2nd grade Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to adapt lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs Passion for fostering academic growth and curiosity in young students Commitment to professional development and collaboration
