SUMMARY:

Community Unit School District 200 is seeking an Elementary EL Teacher to provide pull-out services with emphasis in English as a Second Language.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT

(S): Current Illinois Elementary Professional Educator License (PEL) with ESL Endorsement/Approval

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish Ability to demonstrate competency in organization, flexibility, and cooperativeness ACCESS certification preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Screen entering students for ELL services Plan and deliver English language development instruction for ELL students Work collaboratively with general education teachers to assess the progress of students on a regular basis Confer with parents and teachers concerning individual students Consult with classroom teachers regarding curriculum modifications necessary to meet the needs of the English language learner Maintain records for direct served and monitored students Maintain and improves professional competencies by attending professional development opportunities Attend staff meetings at building and district level
