Ryan Park Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Elementary Teacher to join our team. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about building strong foundational skills, fostering a love of learning, and supporting the academic and social-emotional development of every student. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of evidence-based literacy and mathematics instruction , collaborate effectively with colleagues, and create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed. Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with Indiana Academic Standards, district curriculum maps, and adopted instructional resources. Implement Science of Reading-aligned literacy instruction to support early reading development. Use assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners. Collaborate with grade-level teams, instructional coaches, and support staff to improve student outcomes. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Participate actively in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to plan instruction, analyze student data, share best practices, and develop interventions that improve student outcomes. Implement research-based instructional strategies to ensure success for all students. This includes utilizing SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) components to support English Language Learners. Maintain proactive communication with students, families, and staff. Participate in extracurricular activities as assigned. Qualifications Valid Indiana Teaching License in Elementary Education (K-6). Science of Reading training required. Strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy practices and early reading development. Strong classroom management, proficiency with educational technology, and excellent interpersonal communication. Commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and student success. Completion of Safe Hiring Solutions' expanded background check, including the Department of Child Services index. Preferred Qualifications Early Literacy Endorsement preferred. Experience implementing structured literacy instruction . Experience using assessment data to guide instruction. Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students and families.

Compensation Rate of Pay:

To be determined based on experience according to the Master Contract Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Benefit-eligible position Indiana Teacher Retirement Fund Contribution-eligible position (Pension)
