Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate required (no Temporary Authority to Teachcandidates must hold active certification prior to start). Prior elementary teaching experience preferred. Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt to varying student needs. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Able to meet district credentialing including drug screening and fingerprint requirements.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards. Adapt instruction to address individual learning styles and needs. Foster a safe, respectful classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement. Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and maintain accurate records. Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school administration to support student success. Attend staff meetings, professional development, and participate in school community activities as required.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, full-time (35 hours per week; 7 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Placement location(s) and caseload details to be confirmed prior to assignment.
