Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mission Grammar School is an urban, college-preparatory, Catholic school established and staffed by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1889 in Roxbury, Massachusetts. The administration, faculty, and staff serve students from diverse religious, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. We have a valuable resource in our faculty, staff, and families who work in close collaboration and with mutual respect to meet the educational needs of all scholars.
Opportunity:
Mission Grammar School is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and diverse Upper School 4th Grade Teacher to join its team and community for the 2026-2027 school year. The 4th Grade Teacher will be responsible for teaching English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Religion, ensuring a rigorous, engaging, and faith-centered learning experience for scholars. MG champions affirm and celebrate the unique gifts of every scholar while challenging growth with high expectations and responsive support. We seek to create a community where educators continue to grow in their practice through collaboration and professional development, ensuring transformational outcomes for scholars.

Responsibilities:
Create and foster a positive, safe, faith-filled, and inclusive learning environment Teach and plan instruction in ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion aligned with school curriculum and standards Ensure scholars are supported, valued, and challenged every day Use high-quality curricular resources to design and implement lesson plans, unit plans, and assessments Differentiate instruction and leverage necessary resources to ensure all scholars meet growth and achievement goals Regularly analyze student work and academic data to inform instruction and refine curriculum Maintain accurate student grades and records and communicate consistently with students and families regarding progress and growth Supervise and collaborate with Teaching Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure effective classroom instruction and scholar support Support and actively engage in collaborative planning with grade-level colleagues, specialists, support staff, and school leadership Participate in school-wide and individual professional development, coaching sessions, and feedback cycles Perform necessary support duties, including but not limited to coverage, lunch, recess, and dismissal duties Maintain dependable attendance according to the school calendar for academic days and community events
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Knowledge of Wit & Wisdom Curriculum Strong belief that all children can and will learn Commitment to anti-racism and educational equity Demonstrated ability to support the achievement and growth of diverse learners in a loving and inclusive environment 2+ years of full-time teaching experience Bachelor's Degree (required) Master's Degree in Elementary Education or comparable field (preferred) License in Elementary Education (preferred) OLPH Mission Grammar School is an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
