An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Brockton Public Schools is looking for an Elementary (Grade 3) SEI Teacher at the Davis School. Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents Ability to collect and interpret data for instructional purposes Excellent organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines Familiarity with WIDA and CCSS Standards Provide elementary school multilingual learners in self-contained setting for content and language learning Develop and implement Sheltered Instruction lesson plans aligned to student proficiency levels and grade level standards Participate in professional development trainings and collaborate with the assigned English language acquisition coach
