An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

To Be Determined Job Description The Bresnahan School is a grade PK-3 elementary school located in Newburyport, Massachusetts. We are looking for energetic and experienced educators to join our teaching team. Prepared educator who has a strong understanding of the Massachusetts Frameworks for elementary education and best practices in elementary education Experienced educator able to develop skills-based curriculum in collaboration with grade level colleagues and special education teachers. Collaborative problem-solver who is able to form positive relationships with students, staff and parents. Experience implementing IEPs, 504 Plans, and building-based accommodations preferred. Innovative educator who uses a variety of instructional practices to manage the class, monitor student growth and engage all learners. Experience with assessment, data analysis, progress monitoring and using data to inform instruction preferred. Experience with PBIS or Trauma Sensitive practices is a plus. Positive, reflective, engaged educator willing to work collaboratively with peers to create a warm and welcoming school culture.
