Elementary STEM Teacher South Shore Charter Public School
Our school is fully inclusive and diverse. SSCPS is a K-12 public charter school that serves 1,200 students. As a public school we are tuition-free. Our students come from over thirty-one communities along the South Shore; the top three districts our students come to us from are Brockton, Randolph, and Weymouth. Our families bring a panoply of cultural and racial diversity to our community, representing many different countries of origin with over 40 different languages spoken at home. At SSCPS, we take pride in our unique curriculum designed to prepare students for higher education while offering them an incredibly diverse and welcoming learning environment. SSCPS teachers are expected to cultivate and sustain meaningful partnerships with families from diverse backgrounds .Faculty remain dedicated to supporting student achievement and fostering well-being every day. By demonstrating high expectations for all students, as well as a commitment to providing the support necessary to attain these expectations, the SSCPS teacher fosters school improvement and community support. The SSCPS teacher demonstrates cultural competency and antiracist leadership through behaviors and decision-making both in and out of the classroom. In so doing the SSCPS teacher maintains a collegial environment that honors the teaching profession and encourages continuous learning.
The salary range for teachers new to SSCPS is $57,741-105,768 and is determined by the candidates prior years of full-time teaching experience. SSCPS offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes: paid sick and personal time off, 70% of the cost of an employer sponsored health insurance plan, 50% of the cost of an employer sponsored dental plan, Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), 100% of the cost of an employer short and long term disability plan, access to an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP), voluntary Flexible Medical and Dependent Care Spending plans, voluntary life, vision, and 403B plans, up to $2,000 annual tuition reimbursement, $200 classroom supply and materials stipends, and up to $300 per year in professional development reimbursement.

Reports to:
- Subject Area Curriculum Coordinator-Principal Full Time Status = 100% FTE = 40 hours per week 10 Month ContractEssential Job Functions
- Supports the philosophy and mission of the school as well as the schools projects/FITS/workshops and goals
- Plans, prepares, organizes, and delivers student learning experiences
- Motivates, guides, and directs the students in study skills, social emotional learning, and academic learning.
- Proposes new ideas to the administration and helps to implement and evaluate existing ones
- Is motivated towards professional development and growth in the teaching profession
- Meets all the requirements of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education regarding teacher credentials to teach in a Massachusetts Public Charter School.
