Elementary Spanish Teacher Ann Arbor, MI Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Spanish Teaching Certification Working with children Bachelor's degree Teaching Full Job Description Daycroft School is seeking a Spanish teacher to work with students from toddlers through 6th grade to begin at the start of the 2026-27 school year. This is a 10-month teaching position within a Montessori school. Candidate must be excited about working with early childhood and elementary students. Daycroft School seeks faculty and staff who support Daycroft's three founding pillars that create a rich learning environment for our students: a classroom environment that allows for uninterrupted periods of student creativity and exploration; where learning is student-centered with individualized academic and social-emotional learning; lastly, a community committed to fostering human relationships rooted in mutual respect for all members of the community. Position Summary To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate Spanish Language & Cultural instructional program in a Montessori elementary school environment that invites curiosity and encourages students to explore Spanish as a language and the Latina cultures in the world. This is a 4-day a week position, that comes with healthcare and benefits. Responsibilities Create an engaging learning environment that fosters student interest in learning to speak Spanish and Latina culture. Deliver differentiated lessons to meet students in their learning process. Expose students to Latina culture through readings, art, music, food, and other media. Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to build upon classroom lessons in geography, culture, and reading. Share and write up monthly updates with the co-curricular teachers to share with parents. Write a short update on each student for the semester report cards. Host an after-school enrichment class once a week. Attend faculty meetings and participate in lunch recess activities. Experience and Professional Competencies Expertise in speaking and teaching Spanish Experience in teaching elementary students- a minimum of 3 years is preferred A bachelor's degree is required A Michigan Teacher Certification is preferred Course work and/or training in elementary education - Certified Elementary Teaching Certificate is preferred Interested candidates should email an updated resume and a brief description of their interest in the position to:
