Create a classroom environment that fosters individuality, curiosity, and a passion for learning. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and adapt the curriculum to meet the individual needs of each student through differentiated instruction Establish effective, positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, other support staff, and administrators Apply sound principles of learning and motivation in the planning, implementation, and assessment phases of instructional delivery Utilize a variety of quality classroom management techniques to maintain a highly productive learning environment Collaborate with grade-level members in planning curriculum, units, and classroom lessons Commit to the district's school improvement process and curriculum development effort QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate for Elementary K-5 all subjects (K-8 All Subjects Self Contained Classroom) or for grade band PK-3 A high degree of knowledge in teaching at the lower elementary level. Knowledge of and ability to apply the Michigan Content Standards provided by MDE Ability to apply technology integration to promote student learning Ability to communicate well at various levels with students, parents, and school personnel Ability to work well within the grade level team Ability to analyze assessment data to plan student intervention Evidence of a positive attitude and human relation skills Evidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters High level of flexibility REPORTS TO

Cedar Springs Public Schools is a Preschool through 12th-grade public school consisting of over 3,000 students and nearly 400 employees. We are located within the city limits of Cedar Springs, Michigan in Kent County. Cedar Springs Public Schools is one of 20 member public school districts within the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD). We are unique in that our schools are all located within a single campus setting with the exception of the Middle School which is located 1 mile south of the main campus. The setting is secure, picturesque, and allows easy access for families participating in activities for more than one child.
