: Must be qualified and certified to teach in the State of Michigan and possess the necessary educational background and certification for the position, as determined by the District. Possess a Michigan Teaching Certificate with one or more of the following endorsements: ZN (B-K), ZS (PK), ZA (PK-K), ZO (PK-3), ZG (K-5), ZE (K-6), ZC (K-8), ZP (3-6) Be willing and able to deliver effective classroom instruction that results in student learning and growth. Have a strong desire to work with elementary school-aged students and their parents. Be willing to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, including staff development, curriculum development, and clubs. Be willing to work as part of a building team for the improvement of instruction and to produce successful learners. Be open to continuous change. Be an excellent communicator with students, parents, and colleagues. Demonstrate mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District and is expected to maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
