Applicants should be able to provide a Catholic Based Instruction and manage the classroom environment.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-5 Certification Job Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: Create lesson plans to teach students subjects and complete Report Cards Teach students how to interact with others, share work together, problem solve Observe students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Report to the Principal Current teaching license and or degree in elementary education Must meet requirements established by the Archdiocese of Detroit Must have completed or willing to complete Protecting God's Children Training Ability to work in collaborative atmosphere with teachers, parents and students Ability to manage and maintain a safe learning environment for students Know the needs of School Aged Children Ability to build meaningful, caring relationships with students Willingness to support the students to ensure that students' social, emotional, nutritional and health needs are addressed Capacity to hold ongoing instructional-specific conversations designed to focus conversations and efforts on improving student learning Capacity to align curriculum, instruction, and assessments while responding to the individual needs of students Development of organized routines, communicate clear expectations, and grow a positive school culture Build a professional environment that is one of mutual respect, teamwork, and accountability Ability to seek out knowledgeable peers, students support services, or administrators for instructional support in the never ending quest to deliver the vision of high quality subject-specific instruction to increase achievement Our Mission at Sacred Heart Catholic School demonstrates academic excellence, faith formation and service inspired by the teachings of Jesus.
