Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team at Creekside Elementary School. As an elementary teacher, you will create a positive and engaging classroom environment, foster students' academic growth, and support their social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the curriculum standards and meet the needs of students. Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations, tests, and assignments. Provide individualized support to students as needed to help them achieve academic success. Establish clear objectives and expectations for behavior and academic performance. Collaborate with fellow teachers, school staff, and parents to support student development. Maintain effective communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and progress reports. Attend professional development workshops, school meetings, and other relevant training to continuously improve teaching skills. Follow school policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines. Responsibility of employee to obtain and maintain all training(s), certificate(s), approval(s), etc. and provide documentation to the Human Resource office before expiration date of said document(s).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Required). Valid Michigan teaching certificate (Required). Experience teaching in an elementary school setting (Preferred). Strong knowledge of curriculum design and instructional strategies for elementary students. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate, inspire, and build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to working with children. Proficiency in using technology and educational tools in the classroom.
