We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, fostering academic growth, and supporting the overall development of elementary school students. Comments and Other Information Naytahwaush Community Charter School is located in the beautiful lakes area north of Detroit Lakes and South East of Bemidji. We are a community school with a focus on the whole child and integrating culture into learning.
Duties:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
  • Provide individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Utilize effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure student success
  • Incorporate technology and other resources to enhance learning experiences
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching practices
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid teaching certification/license
  • Proven experience in mentoring and supporting students with special education needs
  • Strong writing skills for developing lesson plans, assessments, and reports
  • Experience in tutoring or providing additional academic support
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques
  • Knowledge of math, literacy education, and standardized testing practices
  • Familiarity with library services and resources for educational enrichment
