We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to provide engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction and create a supportive learning environment where young learners can build confidence, develop foundational skills, and thrive academically and socially. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children, committed to creating an inclusive classroom environment, and able to collaborate effectively with students, families, and fellow educators.
Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and deliver engaging kindergarten-level lessons aligned with curriculum and instructional standards. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and positive social development. Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, behavioral, and developmental needs of diverse learners. Use appropriate instructional resources, technology, and teaching strategies to support student learning. Monitor, assess, and document student progress and adjust instruction as needed. Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress and development. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, administrators, and other professionals to support student success. Implement school and district policies, procedures, curriculum, and instructional goals. Provide in-person instruction and participate in synchronous or asynchronous learning when applicable. Support students with varying learning needs and disability categories through appropriate instructional strategies and accommodations. Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school or building leadership activities as needed. Maintain accurate student records and complete required documentation in a timely manner. Promote a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, confidence, respect, and a lifelong love of learning.
Qualifications:
Must possess or be eligible for a Minnesota K-6 Elementary Education teaching license or an equivalent valid Minnesota teaching license in a related field. Teaching certification/license required. Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred. Ability to develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans. Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. Experience working with diverse students, including students across various disability categories. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to creating an equitable and inclusive learning environment.
