$42,536 - $56,251 per year (salaried, contract-based) Job Summary Montessori Creative Learning School in Apex, NC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Montessori Lead Teacher (Primary / Children's House 3-6) to lead a mixed‑age classroom in an authentic Montessori environment. This position is ideal for a Montessori-certified teacher who values child‑centered learning, independence, and respectful classroom practices. With steady enrollment and planned growth, we offer a stable, supportive environment where Montessori educators can do meaningful work. Teachers from Montessori programs that are closing or transitioning are especially encouraged to apply. Authentic Montessori materials Mixed‑age learning environments Individualized learning plans Respectful teacher‑child relationships Strong communication with families Responsibilities The Montessori Lead Teacher will: Lead a Children's House (ages 3-6) classroom using Montessori philosophy Prepare and maintain an organized, inviting Montessori environment Present individual and small‑group Montessori lessons Observe, assess, and support each child's development Guide children toward independence, concentration, and self‑confidence Track and document student progress Communicate regularly with families Supervise and mentor assistant teachers Maintain compliance with NC Child Care licensing requirements Qualifications Preferred qualifications: AMI, AMS, MACTE, IMS, or equivalent Montessori Primary (3-6) certification Experience leading a Montessori Children's House classroom Strong classroom management and observation skills Commitment to Montessori philosophy and child‑centered education Clear and professional communication skills Teachers with Montessori experience who are not yet fully credentialed are encouraged to apply.
