An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description

United Faith Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lower School Teacher (TK-5th Grade) to join our Christ-centered educational ministry. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to fostering academic excellence and spiritual growth in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that seamlessly integrate Biblical principles into all subjects. Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. Provide individualized support and guidance to address the diverse needs of students. Develop students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually, aligning with Christian values. Collaborate effectively with fellow teachers and staff to build a cohesive and dynamic lower school program.
Qualifications:
A minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent teaching experience and education is required. Ideal candidates hold a degree in education, with a Master's in teaching considered highly advantageous. A passion for ministry and a genuine desire to impact students' lives through teaching and mentorship. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization, and a commitment to excellence in education and discipleship, with expertise in one or more subject areas. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a grade-level team. Creativity, organizational proficiency, and basic computer skills are essential, along with a willingness to be trained in processes specific to our academy. Why Work With Us?
