Durham Charter School, previously known as Healthy Start Academy, is the oldest public charter school in North Carolina. We are currently located at 4621 Kemp Road serving about 1,250 students grades K-12. We are a tuition free, public Charter School, a Title 1 school, and offer 100% free breakfast and lunch to our students.
