We are looking for an educator who believes all scholars can achieve at high levels and is committed to creating engaging learning experiences, building strong relationships with families, and fostering a positive classroom culture. Position Summary The 2nd Grade Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCOS) while supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of all scholars. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction for 2nd grade scholars. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners. Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction and monitor scholar progress. Maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment. Communicate regularly with families regarding scholar progress and classroom expectations. Collaborate with grade-level teams, intervention staff, and school leadership. Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and required documentation. Required Qualifications Valid North Carolina Professional Educator License in Elementary Education. Eligibility to teach 2nd Grade in North Carolina. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Strong instructional and classroom management skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Commitment to academic excellence and scholar success. Preferred Qualifications Previous elementary classroom teaching experience. Experience with differentiated instruction and data-driven decision making. Familiarity with MTSS/intervention practices. Experience integrating technology into classroom instruction.
