The ideal candidate will embrace teaching as a calling and ministry, and will provide high-quality, Christ-centered education to students in grades K-5. The role involves planning and implementing lessons across core subjects, promoting spiritual and academic growth, and fostering a safe, engaging classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Instructional Duties

• Teach core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health, Art)
• Integrate Christian principles and biblical worldview across the curriculum
• Utilize varied instructional strategies (lecture, demonstration, group activities, digital tools)
• Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum and student needs
• Provide individualized and group instruction Student Support & Growth
• Encourage mental, social, emotional, and spiritual development
• Monitor and manage student behavior using positive discipline strategies
• Assess academic progress through formal/informal methods and communicate results with parents
• Counsel and guide students academically and spiritually Classroom & Administrative
• Create a stimulating, well-maintained classroom environment
• Maintain records (grades, behavior, progress reports, assessments)
• Participate in school functions, curriculum planning, and professional development
• Ensure the physical space is safe and conducive to learning (lighting, ventilation, order) Qualifications & Certifications Spiritual Qualifications
• Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior, in alignment with biblical teachings (John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:23)
• Views teaching and/or working with children as a spiritual calling, and recognizes this position at this Christian school is part of God's plan.
• Lives out a Christ-centered lifestyle, modeling integrity, compassion, and godly character both in and out of the school building (1 Timothy 4:12), serving as a positive spiritual influence to students, colleagues, and the broader community.
• Fully embraces and upholds the school's Statement of Faith, Philosophy of education, and Mission Statement without reservation, and actively supports the vision and values of both the school and its affiliated church. Education Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Elementary Education or related field
• Possession of a valid North Carolina teaching credential Skills & Competencies

• Adaptability & Creativity in Teaching Physical & Environmental Demands
• Ability to move between classrooms throughout the day
• Frequent use of computers, projectors, and instruments
• Must be able to lift 20-30 pounds occasionally for instrument setup and maintenance Work Schedule & Compensation
• Full-Time
• Monday-Friday, approximately 40 hours per week
• Salary based on experience and education Reporting Structure
• Reports directly to the School Principal
• Collaborates with Classroom Teachers and Administrative Staff
• Engages with students, families, and church leadership as needed
