In this role, you will create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Your dedication to early childhood development and literacy, combined with your innovative teaching methods, will help students develop essential skills in reading, writing, math, and social-emotional learning. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, focusing on literacy education, math, and social skills. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that support diverse learning needs. Incorporate learning technology and library services to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Provide individualized tutoring and support for students with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessment strategies, and standardized testing preparations. Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants to promote professional growth within the school community. Utilize assessment tools to monitor student progress, adjust instruction accordingly, and communicate effectively with parents about their child's development. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children in kindergarten or first grade is essential. Demonstrated expertise in early childhood education principles, childhood development, and behavior management techniques. Experience integrating learning technology into lesson plans and classroom activities. Knowledge of special education practices, including working with children with autism or other developmental needs. Proven ability to develop creative curriculum content through curriculum development skills and writing skills. Familiarity with Montessori, classical, or other alternative educational philosophies is a plus.
