Job Description

Kent Place School is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable Primary School teacher (Grades JPK-Grade 2) for the 2026-2027 school year who is committed to developing leadership skills and fostering intellectual curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking in our youngest Primary School students. The educator who fills this position will join a vibrant Primary School community focused on providing joyful, durable learning experiences for all learners.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Expertise in early childhood and elementary pedagogy, with a strong foundation in teaching English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Social Studies to students in grades JPK-Grade 2 A commitment to creating a classroom that is academically challenging, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate The ability to design engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences Enthusiasm for working with young learners and a demonstrated ability to build supportive relationships that inspire students to take risks and grow as learners A collaborative mindset and desire to contribute to a professional learning community within and beyond the Primary School Please submit a cover letter and resume to apply. Requirements:
a minimum of three years of teaching experience (preferably with students in JPK-Grade 2); a Master's degree in an academic field or in Elementary Education preferred; demonstrated cultural competency.
