Teaching experience and familiarity with Teach Like a Champion (TLAC) techniques preferred As a Grades 3-4 Math/Science Teacher at Albuquerque Collegiate Charter School (ACCS), you will set the tone for high-quality instruction, collaborative teamwork, and open communication throughout our school community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Quality Instruction Implement content-specific, grade-level math and science lessons aligned with ACCS-provided curricula and New Mexico state standards. Plan, prepare, and deliver rigorous lessons using school-provided instructional materials. Regularly assess scholar learning and provide actionable feedback. Analyze achievement data and respond strategically to scholars' individual learning needs. Use effective classroom-management and instructional techniques, including Teach Like a Champion strategies, to maintain a structured, engaging, and joyful learning environment. Collaborative Teamwork Collaborate with the Grades 3-4 team to create a data-driven, scholar-centered, and safe learning environment. Demonstrate shared responsibility for scholar achievement and schoolwide success. Implement standardized systems, routines, and procedures that support a classroom and schoolwide culture of excellence. Participate actively in professional development, coaching, team meetings, and collaborative planning. Open Communication Build strong, positive relationships with scholars grounded in the school's core values. Establish and maintain consistent communication with families regarding scholars' academic and behavioral progress. Enforce, uphold, and clearly communicate the school's values, scholar-management policies, and cultural expectations. All classroom supplies and technology necessary to support teacher and scholar success at no cost to you. Salary and Benefits A competitive compensation package based on prior teaching experience. Subject to legislative approval, anticipated starting salaries are: $56,000 for Level I teachers $66,000 for Level II teachers $76,000 for Level III teachers Participation in the New Mexico Public Schools retirement and benefits plans. Up to $1,000 for new employees to offset costs related to licensure and/or relocation. Job Requirements By the time employment begins, applicants must: Hold a bachelor's degree. Meet New Mexico teacher-certification requirements through one of the following pathways: Hold a valid New Mexico teaching license with the appropriate grade-level endorsement, such as K-8, PreK-3, or PreK-12; Hold a valid out-of-state teaching license that has been successfully transferred to New Mexico; or Be enrolled in a state-accredited Alternative Route to Licensure program and actively pursuing certification.
