An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Christian Intermediate Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating young minds, Biblical teaching, and creating a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in line with the curriculum
  • Provide instruction in various subjects to elementary school students including the Bible
  • Mentor and support students in their academic, personal, and spiritual growth
  • Utilize library services to enhance student learning experiences
Skills:
  • Comfortable teaching children about Jesus
  • Experience working with children, particularly elementary-aged students
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson planning
  • Knowledge of childcare best practices
  • Ability to educate students with diverse learning needs (including multiple grades)
