An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

SEEKING ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM TEACHER FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
The Hellenic Classical Charter Schools are public charter schools located in Brooklyn (HCCS-PS) and Staten Island (HCCS-SI). HCCS provides a classics based education in the study of humanities and literature for students in Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grades.Our Mission Statement:

7:45 am start- Great time and attendance, good work ethic, team player, learner, compassionate, good communication skills, positive attitude, energetic and good classroom management skills.
Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (Birth-Gr. 2), Childhood Education (Gr. 1-6) or related degree within the field of Education NYS Teaching License or related teaching license within the field of Education Fingerprint clearance Our salaries are set through a lens of equity, and based on an individual's skills, education, and years of experience relevant to the role.Job Types:
Full-time, Contract Pay:
$60,000.00- $80,000.
