Job Description

Fifth Grade General Studies Teacher HAFTR (Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway) is seeking a warm, passionate, and collaborative Fifth Grade General Studies Teacher to join our Lower School team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate is a student-centered educator who can create an engaging and supportive classroom environment while providing strong instruction in English Language Arts, math, social studies, and science.

Qualifications:

Experience teaching at the elementary level Strong classroom-management and communication skills Ability to differentiate instruction to meet a range of student needs Collaborative spirit and growth mindset Bachelor's degree required; teaching certification and master's degree preferred This is a full-time position in Lawrence, New York.
