$66,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year Job description: We are seeking an experienced Elementary Head Teacher to join a private specialized school setting in New York City for the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses primarily on elementary-level math and science instruction , along with homeroom responsibilities and support for students' academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth. The ideal candidate has experience teaching elementary students and is comfortable using structured, explicit, and individualized instruction to support students with diverse learning needs. This role is a strong fit for educators who are collaborative, organized, patient, and interested in working in a small classroom environment. Responsibilities Deliver math and science instruction to elementary-aged students Create and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment Plan lessons using explicit, differentiated, and multisensory instruction Support students' academic, social-emotional, and executive functioning needs Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student needs Collaborate with teachers, specialists, administrators, and support staff Maintain regular communication with families and school leadership Participate in curriculum planning, team meetings, and school-wide activities Requirements Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field preferred Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, or a related field required Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience preferred NYS teaching certification preferred Experience teaching elementary math and/or science preferred Experience supporting students with learning differences, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, or related learning needs preferred Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a school-based team environment Salary $65,000 - $90,000 per year Compensation is based on experience, education, certification, and overall fit.Job Type:
