NY Certified UPK Elementary Teachers

Job Overview We are seeking dedicated NY Certified Elementary Teachers to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will inspire PreK learners by delivering engaging instruction with a teacher assistant . Your expertise will foster a positive fun classroom environment that promotes curiosity and a love for learning. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to also learn various methods while collaborating with a dynamic team of educators committed to excellence in Early Childhood Education. Duties Develop and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with NY state standards, incorporating Creative Curriculum for Preschool practices with assistant teacher and other team . Deliver engaging instruction in core subjects such as literacy, math, science, and physical education. Help create a safe and inclusive fun learning environment. Assess student progress using portfolios and informal and formative assessments; adjust teaching strategies accordingly to support student growth. Mentor and collaborate with fellow teachers, providing guidance on curriculum development, special education accommodations, early intervention strategies, and working with students with autism or other special needs. Engage in ongoing professional development related to Early Childhood Education. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, behavioral concerns, and upcoming classroom activities to foster strong home-school partnerships. Skills Classroom experience with young elementary-aged children across diverse backgrounds; familiarity with private school environments is a plus. Experience in lesson planning that incorporates literacy, math skills, and science. Experience working with individuals with autism or providing early intervention services; knowledge of behavior management techniques is essential. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, and families. Ability to manage classroom while maintaining high standards of student engagement .
