The Elementary School Teacher will create and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in core subjects, promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture, and support the academic and social-emotional development of a diverse student population. The teacher will collaborate with grade-level colleagues, participate in data-driven planning, and communicate effectively with families to ensure each student achieves measurable growth. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver daily standards-aligned instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies that is rigorous, culturally responsive, and differentiated to meet the needs of multilingual learners and students with disabilities. Establish and maintain clear classroom routines, behavior expectations, and a positive learning environment that supports social-emotional learning and student engagement. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, analyze data, and adjust instruction to accelerate student achievement. Collaborate with grade-level and interdisciplinary teams to develop coherent units, common assessments, and scaffolded materials that promote standards mastery and vertical alignment. Implement evidence-based instructional strategies and small-group interventions; provide timely feedback to students to support mastery and growth. Communicate regularly and proactively with families about student progress, classroom routines, and strategies to support learning at home. Work with special education, English learner, and related-service staff to implement accommodations, modifications, and individualized supports for eligible students. Participate in professional development, collaborative planning, and school improvement initiatives; contribute to a positive professional culture focused on continuous improvement and equity. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and required documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in Education or a related field preferred. Valid state elementary teaching certification preferred, but not required. Minimum of 2-4 years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience preferred; experience with diverse student populations strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of state standards, formative assessment practices, differentiation, and strategies for multilingual learners and students with disabilities. Demonstrated ability to use student data to inform instruction and to implement targeted interventions that improve outcomes. Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills; culturally responsive approach to teaching and family engagement. Familiarity with instructional technology and digital tools that support instruction and assessment. Background check and clearance for working with youth required, where applicable.
