Building Principal Position Summary The Northridge Local School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated Second-Grade Elementary Teacher to provide high-quality instruction and support the academic and social-emotional development of elementary students. The successful candidate will create a positive learning environment, deliver standards-based instruction, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in core content areas, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Ohio Learning Standards Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records Provide targeted interventions and enrichment opportunities as needed Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities Collaborate with grade-level team members, intervention specialists, and support staff Participate in professional development and district initiatives Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all district policies and procedures Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (required) Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for grades K3 or 18 (or ability to obtain) Knowledge of best practices in elementary instruction and child development Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs Working Conditions Standard school-day schedule with occasional extended hours for meetings and events Participation in school-related activities, conferences, and professional development Application Process Interested candidates should submit the following: Complete the application process Benefits The Northridge Local School District offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, participation in the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) of Ohio, and paid sick and personal leave.
