An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Title:
Elementary Math and/or English Tutor
PART-TIME YEAR-ROUND
Overview:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens . We're looking for experienced Math and/or English tutors to support students across a range of ages and skill levels. Currently, all available positions are located in Jerome. Lesson plans, curriculum, and student materials are all provided. This is an in-person, year‑round, part‑time position offering a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead small-group tutoring sessions in Math and/or English. Use the provided curriculum and teaching materials. Clearly and effectively explain concepts, adapting lessons to each student's learning style. Help students with homework and reinforce classroom lessons. Monitor student progress consistently and tailor teaching approaches accordingly. Offer constructive feedback to students and parents, highlighting areas for growth. Create a welcoming, encouraging learning atmosphere to build confidence and motivation. Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or a related field. Demonstrated experience as a tutor, teacher, or educator in Math and/or English. Deep understanding of Math and/or English concepts across multiple grade levels. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to establish rapport with students. Skilled at adjusting teaching techniques to suit different learning preferences. Patient and empathetic when working with students facing challenges. Highly organized with excellent time-management skills.
Preferred Candidates:
Experience teaching students from varied backgrounds and ability levels. Teaching License (completed or in progress) Substitute teachers. Retired teachers.
