An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description

Position Overview Central College Christian School is seeking a faith-filled First Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role offers the opportunity to guide students academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally in a Christ-centered classroom while building strong relationships with students and families.   • Teach first grade core subjects through engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that supports learning, creativity, responsibility, and respect.
  • Assess student growth, differentiate instruction, and communicate regularly with families.
  • Model Christian character and integrate biblical values into teaching and relationships.
  • Support the mission of the school through collaboration, school involvement, and professional responsibilities. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required.
  • Valid Ohio Teaching License appropriate to the assignment.
  • Elementary teaching experience preferred, with strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the Christian faith and agreement with the mission and Statement of Faith of the school.
