Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for 2nd grade students, covering literacy, math, science, social studies, and arts. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding. Support early childhood development by tailoring instruction to meet individual learning needs, including working with students with autism or special education requirements. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools and provide regular feedback on student progress; adjust instruction accordingly. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development initiatives and participate in school-wide activities such as library services and extracurricular programs. Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants, sharing best practices in classroom management, lesson planning, and literacy education. Qualifications Proven classroom experience working with children in early childhood or elementary education settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Demonstrated skills in lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and working with students of diverse backgrounds. Familiarity with learning technology tools and educational software; experience with standardized testing procedures preferred. Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, colleagues, and administrators effectively. Degree or experience in early childhood education or elementary teaching; private school experience is a plus. Additional expertise in special education, Montessori methods, writing skills, tutoring, or library services will be considered advantageous.
