Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

We are pleased to announce that we are seeking qualified applicants for a Temporary 1.0 FTE Kindergarten Teacher position at Vern Patrick Elementary School. This temporary position is anticipated to begin September 16, 2026, and continue through January 15, 2027, and is being filled to provide coverage during an employee's leave of absence. The salary range displayed for this position reflects the District's annual salary schedule. JOB SUMMARY
The teacher is the primary instructional delivery person in the classroom. Student learning is primarily dependent on the work and efforts of the classroom teacher. The position is demanding, varied and complex. The classroom teacher must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be well trained in content knowledge and teaching strategies.
