Schedule:
MondayThursday 8:30- 10:30Position OverviewWe are seeking (3) dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to join our team for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This temporary position focuses on providing targeted instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring they maintain and build upon their skills during the summer months. There is a primary and intermediate elementary position available. Positions are K-2, 3-6, 7-8
Key ResponsibilitiesIndividualized Instruction:
Deliver 1:1 and small group instruction tailored to students' Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, focusing on areas such as academics, social skills, communication, and daily living skills.
Progress Monitoring:
Regularly assess and document student progress toward IEP objectives, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to meet individual needs.
IEP Implementation:
Collaborate with related service providers to ensure the effective implementation of IEPs, making necessary accommodations and modifications to support student success.
Behavior Management:
Apply appropriate behavior management techniques to maintain a positive and productive learning environment
Collaboration:
Work closely with paraprofessionals, parents, and other educators to coordinate support and share insights regarding student development.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, behavior, and communication with families
Professional Development:
Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance instructional practices and stay informed about best practices in special education.
