The Role:

As a Montessori Substitute Teacher, you'll support students across all programs in a calm, prepared environment that fosters independence, concentration, and respect. Whether you're guiding a morning work cycle or stepping in for a full day, your presence ensures that children continue to thrive with consistency and care.

What You'll Do:

Implement Montessori principles and child-led learning strategies with guidance from lead teachers Maintain an organized, clean, and respectful classroom environment Use positive, developmentally appropriate behavior guidance techniques Follow safety and classroom protocols, including necessary documentation such as daily records, injury reports, and allergy/medication logs Collaborate with lead teachers and administrative staff to support student progress and continuity of care Communicate positively and professionally with children, staff, and families

What You Bring:

Love, patience, and respect for children Familiarity with Montessori philosophy and materials (or a strong interest in learning!) Understanding of childhood development and individual learning needs Effective communication and time-management skills Ability to remain calm, flexible, and proactive in a dynamic classroom environment CPR/First Aid/Universal Precautions certifications, a plus Ability to pass a background check

Education & Experience:

College degree required Montessori or traditional classroom experience a plus Comfortable with basic computer use (Google Drive)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 45 lbs Comfort with prolonged movement, kneeling, and physical engagement with young children A Community Rooted in
