An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description

Overview Park Row Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher who is committed to academic excellence and Christ-centered education. Our teachers cultivate a love of learning while integrating a biblical worldview into daily instruction and building meaningful relationships with students and families. With small class sizes and a supportive team environment, teachers have the opportunity to know each student well and provide individualized instruction. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons in core academic subjects. Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview throughout instruction and classroom interactions. Foster a positive, nurturing classroom environment that supports students' academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. Differentiate instruction to meet the individual learning needs of students. Monitor student progress through ongoing classroom assessments and communicate regularly with families. Maintain a well-organized classroom that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support student success and the mission of the school. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as requested. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (teaching certification preferred). Experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred. A personal commitment to the Christian faith and the ability to integrate a biblical worldview into daily instruction. Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
