Elementary Teacher

Summary Childress Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Elementary Teacher. This full-time position requires a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students in grades K-5. The successful candidate will inspire young learners, promote academic excellence, and support the social and emotional development of each child. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and the school's curriculum. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal methods, providing timely feedback to students and parents. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with special needs and English language learners. Foster a love of learning by incorporating creative teaching methods and hands-on activities. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student learning and development. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with educational best practices. Uphold school policies and procedures, promoting a safe and respectful environment for all students. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification or license for elementary education. Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and engage with parents and the community. Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance learning. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Experience in teaching or student teaching at the elementary level is preferred. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
